Leadership Covenant and Rules
We will remember that we are God’s people and we are representing Him as well as Munger Place Church, so we will be on our best behavior.
We understand that unity is important - intentionally spend time with different adults and students. It is a leader’s responsibility to sit next to the person that is sitting alone. No leader on this trip will display favoritism. Inclusivity is key. No person, adult or student, will feel left out on this trip.
We will NOT complain! Especially not to, or in the presence of students. If we have issues or concerns, we will bring them privately to Gracie or MungerYouth leadership.
Wherever we are - we will maintain the buddy system. You should be with at least one other adult around students at all times to adhere to ministry safe policies. These policies are in place to protect you and our students.
We understand that the use or possession of tobacco, profanity, alcohol, firearms or other inappropriate drugs is not permitted…period. If these things are found in your possession, you will immediately be excused from the trip.
We will not show any sign of aggression or violence in any capacity (physical or verbal) to any adult or student (involved with Munger Place Church or not).
We will display our ‘hang up and hang out’ policy with our phones and devices.
We will clean up after ourselves and encourage students to leave the space better than they found it. Teams will be on a rotation of light chores and assisting in cooking meals.
We will be respectful of the facilities we are staying in. We will follow all of the rules that are given to us by the campus and we will leave spaces we use better than we found them.
We will wear sunscreen! We will make sure our students are doing the same!
We will be on time!
We will participate. The purpose of our mission trips is to serve others and pour into all of these students. We will have plenty of time along the way to have fun and be with our friends. You will be tired, you may be sore, but you are there to work, worship, build relationships, and most importantly, show Christ to all in our midst.
We will model worship. During worship time, we will sit with and next to our students and will model what worship looks like. We will gently help to encourage them to focus. We will all be tired but worship and devotionals are the foundation of our mission trip.
We will save time on worksites for lunch devotionals, we will lead our group in prayers, we will participate in leadership of night worship.
We will not use bad or profane language, ESPECIALLY in front of any student. This includes music that is played in vans and on worksites.
We will drink water, and will regularly encourage students to do the same.
